My Journey

Zoo

Singapore Zoo is one of the best in the world, and according to many ratings – the best. In addition to the zoo itself (Singapore Zoo), next to it is the Night Safari and River Safari. The zoo also includes the Jurong Bird Park, which is located in another part of the city.

Tickets to each of the parks are separate, but you can buy a 4-in-1 (4-in-1 Park Hopper) ticket, which allows you to save on cost. You can buy it at the box office of any of the listed parks. The “4-in-1 Park Hopper” is valid for 30 days from the date of purchase, the price for an adult is $89, for a child – $58, children under three years old – free of charge (the cost, of course, periodically increases, you need to check in advance on the website park).

The zoo is amazing! I won’t say that it is too big, but it is definitely very interesting. It is better to visit all the parks on weekdays, as there are a lot of local people on weekends. It is better to get there by taxi, it is not expensive (no more than $ 25) and comfortable. You can take some more buses with transfers, but you need it?

We went to the zoo on Monday. Beauty – there are not very many people, you can feel yourself almost the main visitors. Literally in the first ten minutes, we firmly decided that we would definitely come again in a week (we did so). The main feature of the zoo is the absence of cages and, in general, any visible fences. Everything was done so competently and thought out to the smallest detail that you don’t perceive this territory as a zoo.

There are several different interesting shows with animals, and you can also feed some pets. You can find out the schedule in the booklet given to you at the box office.

If you have taken the 4-in-1 Park Hopper ticket, the price includes a tram ride around the zoo. Once it is quite interesting to ride.
There is even a small water park for children.

In our opinion, you need to go to the zoo for the whole day. We did it, the time from the opening at 8-30 and almost until closing at 18-00 flew by unnoticed during the first visit. I don’t understand people who write on forums that 3 hours is enough for a zoo! Even on our second visit, given that we were already well oriented and had made a plan in advance (according to the schedule in the program), who to feed when and when to go to what shows, it still took almost the whole day.
